Favorite client success story: I had a dog named George who was resource guarding random things with their owners. The dog was also a strong puller and they had trouble walking him. They were obviously very frustrated with the dog but after training with them they were able to build a strong bond and show the dog clear boundaries and expectations. That in turn built their relationship and created a happier, more well behaved dog.

Client Testimonial: “We can’t say enough great things about Alex and the team at Sit Means Sit! Our dog, George, joined their five-day program after struggling with resource guarding and aggression toward our older dog, which had led to injuries. We felt completely lost on how to handle the situation, but Sit Means Sit truly changed our lives.

From the very beginning, Alex built an incredible bond with George—he trusts him completely, which has made all the difference in his training. George has picked up on everything so quickly, and we’ve seen a huge improvement in his behavior at home. He’s not only learning important skills, but he’s also having a blast practicing his tricks. By week four, he was even able to follow some commands without his collar (not that we recommend that, but it’s amazing to see how well he’s doing!).

We’re also really excited to start taking George to the group classes after graduation—it’s great knowing that the training doesn’t just stop after the initial program!

One thing that really stands out about Alex is how much he genuinely cares. He consistently asks for email updates, even with pictures, to see how the dogs are doing after training. Today, we were so excited to send him a video of George practicing at home because we knew he would actually appreciate it and celebrate George’s progress with us.

And we have to mention how thoughtful and accommodating Alex is. One week, my husband was on a work trip and couldn’t attend class, so I asked if it would be okay to FaceTime him in. Without hesitation, Alex went and grabbed a wheelchair and a recycling bin just so I could prop my phone up and not have to hold it the whole time. It was such a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that really showed how much he cares about both the dogs and their owners.

Because of our experience, a friend of ours also started training her dog at Sit Means Sit, and after just one week, she’s already seeing great results. We’re beyond grateful for Alex and the entire team—they’ve given us peace of mind and helped George become the best version of himself. Highly recommend!” -Stephanie R.
